I know I haven’t been posting a lot lately and I apologize for that. In my defense, it’s been a crazy couple of months… I found myself looking for a new job, taking any work available to pay the rent (we’ve all been there) and going out of course – Just because I was jobless and broke didn’t mean I was going to sit at home and cry, right?
Anyhow, I’m finally getting back on my feet and things are falling into place. In fact, I’m so excited about a few amazing upcoming projects I’m working on that I can’t wait to share with you but first, let me take a selfie!!!
On April 10, I attended an evening celebrating the art of Rube Goldberg at the Paul Stuart store on Madison Ave. Rube Goldberg was a Pulitzer Prize winning cartoonist, sculptor and author. Best known for his “inventions” that take a simple task and makes it extraordinarily complicated.
The store had Rube Goldberg themed-window displays for the entire month of April and Rube’s granddaughter and author of The Art of Rube; Jennifer George was there to sign some books. Guests and I enjoyed hors d’oeuvres and cocktails courtesy of Slovenia Vodka.
On April 23, The Trevor Project held a kickoff party for its June 16 TrevorLIVE event. Presented by Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants, it took place at The Eventi, A Kimpton Hotel.
I was happy to attend given that what The Trevor Project does for the LGBT youth is remarkable.
On April 29, I headed over to the BoConcept store in Chelsea to the Fusion Collection Launch Event. I’ve always like BoConcept furniture. I love their aesthetic and they have great signature pieces that make a fantastic addition to any room.
Cremieux was founded in 1976 by Daniel Cremieux. Classic and contemporary, Cremieux offers an impeccable style with superior fabrics. A passion for detail and quality. A casual and chic elegance characterized by the Ivy League.
Last Wednesday I found myself in Chelsea, this time for a shopping event at Parke & Ronen benefiting GLAAD. Guests enjoyed 20% off their entire purchase in store and refreshments courtesy of ZICO coconut water, Peroni beer and Spiked Seltzer.
I even met Parke Lutter Co-Owner and Creative Director of Parke & Ronen. How cool is that? I’m currently working on a project with the brand to show you how to get the perfect summer look.
Finally, last weekend I was invited to the VIP Brunch for PULSE Art Fair, where I had the chance to meet Pulse Director Helen Tommer.
Uff! What a few weeks. My liver needs a break. Good luck with that Jorge… This weekend is the ICFF. Salud!
