Two weeks ago, British fashion retail brand TOPSHOP TOPMAN launched an exclusive capsule collection for Nordstrom. This edition of the Pop-In@Nordstrom series celebrates Britain’s rich music heritage with a nostalgic nod. The collection pays homage to the 60’s, 70’s and 90’s with reinterpreted concepts of British retro, mod and rock.
SIDENOTE: Since I’m a HUGE fan of anything retro, you will understand how excited I was to collaborate with the brand.
TOPMAN took inspiration from the UK’s vibrant rock ‘n’ roll history. Featuring knitted polo shirts reminiscent of Jarvis Cocker and Pulp, to tailored houndstooth and striped blazers named after iconic British bands such as Blur.
You certainly see the influence of the British culture and flag in the pieces. Just look at this check bomber jacket I’m wearing, isn’t it cool mates? Not to mention the star print shirt, very blinding! Overall I think I aced my Brit look… Would you agree?(Btw, did you see I just used like three British slangs? #royal)
