5 Trends From NYFW Men’s Fall 2016

Perhaps you might have noticed I’ve been a little MIA from the blogosphere. The truth is there’s A LOT of stuff going on in my life right now. I won’t get into details, but I could use some good vibes #pray4manchic

Craziness aside, I still managed to see a couple of shows in New York City during the second edition of NYFWM. I must say; I’m content with the direction this event is taking, and I’m looking forward to seeing designers stepping out of the box more and more each season.

One thing is clear; luxury sportswear trend isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. And I’m ok with that. Being comfortable while looking stylish is the best way to do menswear these days. However, designers showed more than that.

Here are five big trends from NYFW Men’s Fall 2016:

Chunky Turtlenecks

Rochambeau | Gypsy Sport | Robert Geller

Turtlenecks are still in the pictures, only, this time, bigger and thicker

Color Of Blood

Todd Snyder | Craft Atlantic | John Elliott

Burgundy stood out as the color of the season

Shorts Season

Nautica | Zachary Prell | Perry Ellis

With global warming on the rise, it only makes sense.

80’s Jeans

Perry Ellis | Chapter | Nautica

Time to pull out those denim jeans from your dad’s closet

One Of The Boys

Second Layer | EFM | Max & Chester

Because women can wear pants too

Jorge Gallegos

Not just a pretty face
