While you might think of sake as the obvious pairing for sushi, in actuality, sake isn’t traditionally served with sushi because both are made from rice. So when it comes to finding the perfect sushi companion, nothing beats a good, crisp lager beer like Sapporo.

Since simple is sometimes best, you can’t go wrong with the Spicy Tuna roll. Or when you’re not watching your calorie count, the Shrimp Tempura roll is a great option. Give me any of these sushi rolls and a Sapporo beer, and I’m ready to go!
Ugh! All this sushi talk got me hungry and thinking about the upcoming International Sushi Day (June 18th) – oh yeah! that’s a real thing. And do you know what’s also a real thing? This sushi star game, play “sushi restaurant owner” and earn profits – on the virtual game, of course!
