Hands down, Halloween is my favorite holiday! I mean, what’s not to love about it? I like the candy, the parties, and of course, the costumes. Especially the sexy costumes.
However, I’m always late to the game, sourcing for my outfit last minute… like literally! This year, my bestie Jose and I didn’t have any plans for the weekend, and in the end, we decided to go out! We figured we could do a couples costume. Something simple, fun and easy to “gay-up.” So we went with Mario and Luigi.
We knew we wanted to wear some shorts, boots, and suspenders. Luckily, we already had those pieces in our wardrobes. All we were missing were the hat, socks, and letters. Fortunately, we found them at Party City and Michael’s for like ten bucks.
We had initially said we were putting on denim booty shorts, but we ended up going for the CellBlock13 shorts to make it a little edgy and “fetishy.” It turned out good, no? (And in case you’re wondering, yes those mustaches are real… you know we are Mexicans. )
We checked out a private party and the Oak Lawn Block Party – the biggest, and probably the best, Halloween event you can find in Dallas. And I realized that without a doubt, gay men do not hold back when it comes to dressing up for Halloween.
