It’s been almost a year since I started practicing yoga almost daily and in many ways has changed my life: I’m more grounded; patient and overall I have a more positive outlook in life. But you can’t be a yogi if you’re only practicing; you must take action as well. For that reason, when it comes to athleisure I prefer to wear tasc Performance.

Here’s why. The technology that tasc Performance is using is a game changer in activewear apparel. They have developed exclusive fabric blends that are eco-friendly and derived from natural sources such as bamboo, merino wool, and organic cotton.

But the environmentally responsible mindset of the family-owned company does not end there. Their fabric creation process uses a closed loop system, which allows them to recover and re-use 99% of waste water and chemicals. Furthermore, they work in close collaboration with the factory that utilizes mostly renewable energy. – Isn’t that fantastic?

When I was picking out my selects, I went for the Velocity 5″ Short – because you know I love some good short shorts. Much to my surprise, it wasn’t that short. I did like the stretch woven fabric on the outside, lightweight and super smooth. I didn’t like the inner liner short because when it comes to undergarments, I prefer briefs. The thing I liked the most was the side zipper pocket. My phone actually fits on it!!! Now I can finally stop using that sweaty phone armband.

I also chose the Scout Pocket tee, because it’s sophisticated look. I took it on a hike and even though it was hot as hell, I didn’t feel as hot as usual – I wonder if that has to do with its UPF 50+ protection technology. I do appreciate the versatility this garment offers; I can just throw it in after my yoga class and grab a drink (oh yeah, after my class with my instructor I definitely need one) without feeling underdressed.
