Just like you, I love a good sale – because ain’t nobody got the money for full price, am I right? And well, the end of the summer it’s the perfect time to stock up on discounted items. Like the ones from the contemporary French retailer, Sandro. Their aesthetic is the essence of the Parisian effortless and chic spirit. Which I totally admire. Pulling a simple yet fresh ensemble, it’s not as easy as one might think, but the French know how to do it very well.
For Spring, Sandro’s Ilan Chétrite glanced to the 90’s Parisian skater boys for inspiration. The result, a clean, modern update on the nostalgic era – unlike the logomania, I keep seeing everywhere. That’s why I like the brand, for its quirky-easy ready-to-wear pieces that speak for themselves. The Sandro SS19 collection had everything: from bowling-style button-downs with big frontal stripes, souvenir T-shirts and hoodies, a variety of pants, suits, leather and denim jackets, trench coats, and several accessories.
Even one of those ugly-cool sneakers. I haven’t gotten those, but maybe I might. What I did get was a t-shirt and swim shorts with wide stripes. The bold pattern looks totally vintage to me. I also got the colorblock western-style shirt in PINK – because why not? Besides, I live in Texas, so it felt very appropriate.
And just the other day I ordered the pants with contrasting stripes, which will be ideal for a Côte d’Azur getaway. I can picture myself sitting at a Nice’s bar sipping on an Aperol Spritz. Damn, I look good (if only!) I also purchased a souvenir t-shirt that reads”désir.” That yellow is super retro; if I pair them with some light washed jeans, I’ll accomplish that très chic Parisien look.
Anyway, if you want to snatch some of these pieces, hurry up and head over the Sandro website. I think the end of summer sale ends today, but honestly, I’m not sure, since this isn’t a sponsored post, just me telling you about my shopping addiction. Happy shopping!
