Not so long ago I had the pleasure of not only doing a pictorial wearing pieces from fashion designer Martin Keehn, but also interviewing him (in case you have been a bad boy – or girl – and haven’t seen it, here it is).
During our collaboration, I got immersed in the intriguing mind of the clothing maker. Therefore, I was really looking forward to seeing his spring 2015 collection during New York Fashion Week.
While thrift shopping he was inspired by the clothes of a man, like if they were old friends from high school, he knew this man; his story and his style. Keehn’s SS15 collection conveys a sense of nostalgia in its Americana style. – For this simple reason I fell in love with his collection, there’s clearly a sentimental aspect to it but without being cheesy.
Different use of fabrics like linen, mesh and leather, textures and pastel colors complete the collection. -♫ This is like a flashback, this like a dream, this is like all the things you can fit, inside a memory. ♫
I’m a sucker for a good mesh/leather tank so you’re damn right I’m going to be rocking his next summer.
Shout out to my buddy Aurelien Muller, who walked Martin’s runway, I mean, how handsome does he look in that baby blue shirt? #mancrush
