Manchic X: C&A

Last month, during my visit to Mexico City, my good friend and drinking buddy, super male model Don Hood happened to be there as well… What a small world! The reason he was in DF was to shoot the Holiday campaign for retailer C&A Mexico. Guess who made it backstage during the shoot? Me! I even got to interview Creative Director Angelo D’Agostino but THAT’s another blog post.

Back to the point, C&A has a big presence in Mexican territory; they describe themselves as the preferred brand among young people, offering exciting fashion with extreme value. To be honest, I wouldn’t go that far, however, I was remarkably surprised by some of the gear they have.

As a thank you gift for being backstage and interviewing Angelo, they let me pick up a couple outfits from the store. Here’s what I chose… Cute right? Their aesthetic is clearly more casual and urban than I would normally wear, but it makes sense, I can totally see a lot of Mexican “fashionistas” wearing it.

Now, as soon as I saw that brown jacket I knew I wanted it… What about the patterned socks and the hi-tops, don’t you think those are cool too? The pictures are not too shabby either… It helps to have a big extended and talented family. Great job Mark Ledezma!
