Last fall, designers everywhere went Pollock on their jeans by splattering paint all over them. Luckily, you don’t have to be an artist to achieve this trend. All you need is a lot of creativity, fabric paint and a pair of jeans.
First, make sure you have cardboard or newspaper to cover your work area – I’m sure your landlord won’t appreciate your artwork on the floor- Then, put on some gloves (unless you don’t mind getting dirty). After that, use your hands or brushes to dip into the paint cup and start splattering. Use as different colors as you want.
Sidenote: Before I started
ruiningpainting my jeans, I looked for inspiration online. That way you’ll have an idea of what to do with the paint and your jeans will have a better chance to turned into a work of art.
Let them dry for about an hour before flipping them over and ta-dah! Rock your newly splattered jeans with a solid color t-shirt for a casual look, or pair them with a printed top for an edgier look.
I’m not a big fan of DIY projects, but I sure had fun personalizing my new PRPS jeans.
