Last Thursday, superstar apothecary Kiehl’s kicked off NYC Pride festivities with a fabulous and fierce party at their flagship store in East Village.

Featuring rainbow cupcakes and free-flowing SKYY vodka cocktails, the bash, hosted by Kiehl’s brand ambassador Chris Salgardo (who up until last year was the President of the company) and Max Emerson (@maxisms), was the place to be – and I can attest to that!

Whilst living in New York City I attended several #KiehlsPride celebrations – and let me tell you, it was always an A-List rager. Everyone from Zachary Quinto and Eric Rutherford to Miss Jay Alexander and Simon Huck, were among the celebrities that I spotted at those memorable soirées.

At this year’s event, The Misshapes spun throughout the evening, and the festivities culminated with Chris Salgardo making a donation to The Hetrick-Martin Institute: a charity which provides a safe and supportive environment to lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender teens and young adults.

Am I sad that I missed this year’s fete? Of course! But I’m sure it can’t compare to last year when, not only did I get to kick off NYC Pride with the brand, but I was also able to march with them. The whole thing was an incredible experience. The love and energy from the New York queer community is outstanding. Plus, my two besties Eef and Jose joined me, making the march even more special.
