After a decade, the Dallas Red Foundation is still pretty much red hot. So it was more than fitting to join them to celebrate its 10th anniversary at a party dubbed the “MasqueRED” last Saturday, at Fashion Industry Gallery, in Dallas, TX.

Presented by Ray Scott, State Farm Agent & BBVA Compass, the exhilarating evening saw “FIG” transformed into a red-lit, ruby-hued space. The gallery space went scarlet for a masquerade ball where partygoers arrived anonymously fashionably sporting shades of red and elaborate masks.
Furthermore, guests sipped on cocktails courtesy of Stoli Vodka walking through a silent auction plus enjoying extraordinary performances by The Violin Guy and the 2018 Miss RED, Gloria Devine.

The highlight of the night was when the main entertainer, American Rapper, and my man crush Cazwell took the stage for an energetic musical performance that concluded with his hit single “Ice Cream Truck” – I can’t believe it’s been eight years since I first met him – that time, he signed my American Apparel pink briefs. (Full disclosure, I still have those undies, and I never washed them). LOL

Funds raised by the Dallas Red Foundation support organizations in the North Texas area that educate, communicate and provide services to our communities and individuals affected by HIV/AIDS. The young gay men that run this organization do incredible labor for the local community. In the end, that’s what matters most.
