The Grooming Club: Harry’s

Do you remember that time I attended Esquire Magazine SHARP The Man Event? Not only did I get a brand-new haircut from the guys at Harry’s but also met Thomas Pardee Community Manager at Birchbox.  He introduced me to the Birchbox Man Influencers Network, where bloggers have early access to products to review and giveaway on their site.

As an official influencer, I got to try the Truman razor and shave cream from Harry’s. When I received my kit, I was very impressed by the dapper packaging and modern design. – As a graphic designer, I always appreciate handsome wrapping.

At $10, the handle is fairly dashing. However, the form is so sleek it has no grip, which could be problematic, especially if you plan to shave in the shower. The five razor blades system provides a close and smooth shave, but I’m still trying to get use to the flexible head. While the shaving cream was good, it was not my favorite. Its consistency creates a chunky layer making it a bit difficult to feel the blades, and honestly, I didn’t like the thickness and stickiness of it. – Well, that’s a first  – wink-

Overall I entirely endorse Harry’s due their fine quality and their phenomenal craftsmanship. Have you seen something as stylish as Harry’s razors at that price range? Me neither. Besides they give charity donations with each purchase, that’s always a plus! #goodjobguys
